Now that I've worked thru some of the issues I've had with it, it has really come together to meet my expectations. I am really happy with this sled and so I'm starting to plan this summers updates. Here is what I am thinking so far....
Front suspension: At the very least I will need A-arms for one side. I am also going to keep my eye out for a nice used set of aftermarket. I was also thinking of ditching the FloatXs and looking for Olines or possibly getting a Hygear job on a set of stock XTX fronts. Not sure tho, I do like the floats.
Rear suspension: It looks like I may be getting an XTX skid. If that happens I will need to trim the rail tips, add an anti-stab and maybe a Hygear job on the rear shox. I will also need to get my hands on a 144 track, likely the backcountry. I should probably get some powder coating done while she's apart.
Running boards: I'm going to modify the fish bone braces for more snow to pass thru. Then powdercoat them to match the BNG.
Seat: Keeping my eye open for one of the Skinz seat covers, Not sure they are making them anymore. Or finding a nice used skinz seat might be cool.
BNG: Not sure what but something.
TURBO!: wait, what? Probably not, but a boy can dream.
I'm looking forward to diggin back into it.
Isn't it nice to just be planning "UPGRADES" and not engine repairs? The #1 reason I love my boosted apex. Now the engine is dialed just gas and go. love it!

Yes huge! I am now past the mileage that I got out of my last 2-stroke before I had to spend $1200 doing crank and top end.

It is about that time again. I've been thinking about getting back into working on the sled again. I've got lots of changes planned, the biggest of which is going 144"
I have not touched the sled all summer. I've been a little distracted by the Hypermotard. My brother and I rode to the west coast and back. It was an amazing trip.

Start of 2013/2014 season prep
Well I figured that since I wanted to paint my hood again this year that was probably the best place to start, so I can paint before it gets cold out.
So the BNG for this year!
I started with my blue hood, which I painted black my 2nd season with the sled....and then covered it with decals for the 3rd. (Lazy on the BNG last year)
I put my kids to work removing the decals for me then I sanded it down with 400 grit. (The paint held up really well!)
I sprayed the entire thing with 3 fresh coats of black. Then masked up parts of it.

yeah thanks Ryan. The blue is a little darker on the hood, but close enough

Nah the side panels are covered in vents, and riding mostly backcountry they take a beating anyways.
....and thanks

I've been on the hunt for a 121 to 144 tunnel extension but no luck so far. I'm also looking for an anti-stab kit that would work with ice age rails.
If anyone has either of these items kicking around and would like to sell them please PM me. I'm headed to the states in 3 weeks so I'll likely grab them new if I have not found some by then.

Finally had some time to work on the sled again. Decided to start mocking up the skid with the IceAge rails to see how it is going to work.
Everything seemed to bolt right up. Only problem so far is the OFT tensioner spacers off the axel which I was hoping to use don't fit in the IceAge axel slots.
Here is the length I am gaining over the 136" extension, plus these rails do not have a tip up....
Another look at the length difference...
So far so good...
