Personally I would like to see a 141 XTX with a 1.75 Back Country track, QS3 coil over shocks like the 2018 BTX LE, 40" front end, and MTN seat. This is my dream sled and one I would consider giving up my 137 XTX for.

Did I forget to mention, the exhaust would be a 3" straight pipe with exit right out the side?

WarriorDan...I've heard some rumors recently about EPS showing up on the '19 SW's from some pretty reliable sources. I guess we'll know in another 6 weeks or so.
A totally agree with you about every bit of creature comfort. I had my sixth birthday a couple of years ago with a zero in it so I'm not too far behind you and still feel the need for speed as you do.
I'd also like to see the Apex gauge package on the SW's. Those gauges really make a Yamaha stand out over every other OEM.
Cool thread jtmetal....thanks for starting it!
That would be awesome especially if they made the kit backwards compatible...
I would really like to see them offer a special order package where you could mix and match certain options within reason. Let you choose the skid length, shock package, windshield, seat and in the color you want.
Also thinking of all the stuff we NEEDED to install on these to bring them up to snuff. Many things already mentioned. Skis, studs, storage, skis, ice scratchers, skis.....did I mention skis?
I would pay extra if they offered a large touch screen display that would include gauges and GPS options. Bring this thing up to the 21st century.

More rider forward Chassis
Better Skis
Rip saw track without quiet tabs
4th wheel kit from factory
oil tank separate from chain case
adjustable riser
lock and ride accessories so I'm not riding a yamacatdoo. lol

Most of what's been said falls squarely on A.C.s shoulders. To a certain point.
I wish I carried a marketing/accounting degree. Just so I could understand ROI in terms of new product development process.
Like to see Yamaha slam something out of the park. A completely new lite weight chassis with electronic updates would turn this sport upside down. The 998T definitely has gotten the attention!
But in slowdown market like this. Who wants to put everything they have on 14red. What's the return?

Like others mentioned I would like a non quiet track, better attention to detail on the little things. Better bearing all around as well as the return of grease fittings. Simple things to make them easier to work on such as a drain plug for the chain case and easier drain plug access for the oil tank. Hotter hand warmers with more of a selection than off/low/high. Maybe a dual map ecu with a bar mounted switch. Don't really need more than 200 hp but would be neat to have a performance map with quicker boost build up.

Let's stick to the basics that Yamaha/Arctic Cat can actually achieve realistically. Some of these "wants" people are asking for are subjective, personal & nit-picky. I'm pretty happy overall & there is not a sled made that doesn't need a few tweeks here & there.
But i didn't start this thread, i'm just here for the ride...
1. Like KNAPP said, fully clipped non "quiet" track
2. An oil reservoir that doesn't need magical pressure relief gadgets & 40 feet of hose NOT to leak!
3. SKIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4. Take every TORX screw and replace them with...............actual devices that fasten such as hex head bolts & phillips screws without me getting angry
5. If this motor stays in this chassis, couldn't they squeeze it down there a bit more
6. A chain case i can pull a little stick out to check &/or add oil. We'll call it a DIPSTICK!
7. CLUTCHING.........needs a little work. We at TY are getting it done, but we shouldn't have to go as far as we've had to on this subject
8. YAMAHA: How about letting us know some future #*$&@ like.....is there a new chassis or will you be here in 2 years!

We should also add real old style RX-1 throttle levers to these things too, not that awful hand cramping Cat lever on they come with. UffDaa that thing is awful. Just put my RX-1 lever on this week, what a difference that makes!

Agree 100% , Loving my newly installed Apex Japan lever....with much more heat courtesy of Travis and Rock.....We should also add real old style RX-1 throttle levers to these things too, not that awful hand cramping Cat lever on they come with. I did not realize how nice shaped the old ones were compared to these cat style.

Had that on my Doos. No thanks
I like the key on the winder much better, you can light up the lights without starting the engine, set the clock on the gauge and do all those kinds of things without timing out like the Doo did. Its one thing I prefer about the Winder over the Doo.
