In a earlier post a member ordered 2 of theses for his 2020 sleds he was picking up.Does anyone know if there has been a tech. bulletin with notice of upgraded parts to fix this problem, or if the 2020 sleds have the exact same shaft and bearing as '19 and older models?

I will follow up with those that reached out to me directly. I can send paypal invoices direct or cards over phone.
Doing some more experimenting on torque setting and finding that is not going to be the best way to set these. Torqe spec x is not going to yield same result on every sled as tolerances vary. Also finding as unit get seated multiple times same torque spec does not yield same expansion. Resistance of the lock itself increases as wedge gets drawn closer to the base of fingers, which further makes setting by torque inaccurate. I will be posting up a video later today to explain how to set it up.

Will this video only be for those that have their driveshaft out or will there be a way to know how much torque to use for those of us that bought one for preventative maintenance and do not plan on disassembling everything at this time. I just want to install it to lock the current bearing so that it doesn't spin in the future.

Hey Travis, I text you(had your cell from when I ordered the belly pan protector a couple years back) late Friday night about the site having problems. Haven't heard back from you(I know you're very busy), so no worries. Should I call you and do business over the phone for this, or just wait for the site to get back up and running/fixed?? I don't need it tomorrow obviously, so not in a huge rush.

Just leave bolts loose on caliper. Should be able to feel it.
I have never had that assembly apart so it is hard for me to visualize what is going on there.

OK. I had bought this for a preventative item. If my bearing is not loose on the shaft and had not worn it, it seems that it would be hard to tell when I have the locking collar tight enough... but not too tight. Travis gave me a torque suggestion but I don't know if his post today negates what he told me.

Here is a little video I did to help explain. As much as I wanted there to be a set torque spec to make it straight forward for install, it would not guarantee effectiveness of the device on every machine. Last thing I want is someone spinning shaft when they had it installed. Physically checking the fit up is going to be best.
Edit...took video down and will make a new one tomorrow. Had some second thoughts on my install instructions. After further testing this afternoon, I discovered one could strip threads if too crazy when tightening with a 10" long ratchet.
The device works fantastic....just need to come up with an install procedure to instruct those that are not real mechanically inclined.

Or will the shaft relax, when loosening the device, so the shaft can slide out?
I know some that peened, LocTited, or both and had a real treat removing the bearing.
Hoping the shaft saver will not create a similar situation.

When you loosen the bolt the wedge remains seated and bearing still remains locked. A couple shots to bolt head with a hammer will unseat the wedge and then shaft relaxs and bearing will slide right off.

Last post of the day. The inconsistency of this not working at same torque on even same shaft was really bothering me. For instance I could set it to 50ft lbs and get it to hold. Then I would release the wedge and re torqe to 50 ft lbs and then bearing would fall off! I thought maybe wedge was wearing a bit or compressing a bit...but measurements indicated that's not the case. Got to thinking and each new assembly would set initially at a low torque and then require more torque each time after. I wandered if the friction from threads, wedge and bolt head were prematurely tripping the torque wrench. On the first seating I think the residual lubricant/cutting oil relieved some friction and after one seating it was no longer present. To test the theory I applied some grease to threads, wedge ramps and face where bolt spins and I can now consistently get the bearing snug at only 25-30 ft lbs! Ah....now I can sleep. Will make a new installation overview video tomorrow.
