Drive/jackshaft bearing repacking

It doesn't hurt to clean the bearing out but sealed bearings are not packed with grease check a new one out one of the biggest causes of bearing failure (on a sealed type) is over greasing as the balls can't roll they skid instead.

Just a bit of useless trivia but all ball bearings skid after being turned fast enough. That's the reason your car does not have them on the crankshaft, the small gain at low speeds negates the extra cost.

The Suzuki GS series of engines have ball bearing cranks and are bulletproof......

Tore mine apart yesterday to check bearing and repack and found the bearing snap ring is cracked.
598 miles on it.

I plenty of pics to take to the dealer, but this site won't let me upload from my phone and that's where I have them.

Just sent you pics so maybe you can post them.
The crack if you zoom is about 9'o clock or so.
....Thanks

Here are your pics. Everything looks good.
