Getting rid of the roll over valve

It still vents oil to the intake.
I'll try to send a pic of the intercooler i just cleaned out. It had a couple ounces of oil in it.
Actually it reroutes into the air filter box, I know same difference ,kit comes with block off cap for intake , but I routed mine into a small catch can

Drilled a one inch hole in belly pan for hose outlet.

In all the years since I've done this venting on this sled, I've never had it freeze up. I'm actually running my old original hardware store clear reinforced hose

There are some things I've learned along the way however.

1. Heater hose is not designed for oil and can't be used. It turns into a oily gooey mess of a hose.
2. 1/2" hose is more prone to freezing or attempting to freeze vs. a 5/8" hose.
3. The hose IMO needs a rearward angle cut into the bottom of it so if running in deep snow the snow makes no attempt to enter the hose.
Agree on heater hose. I switched to 5/8" fuel hose. Problem solved.

Catch can are a waste, had 3 of them freeze solid..

I was wondering why some of you fellas were putting them on. All that complication and added plumbing mess too.

I'm still removing the heated ROV's on the new sleds and running them right out the footwell same as before. Seems like the best overall for no codes, no oil and moisture in the intake and keeping the oil in the oil tank from blowing the seal. EPA might not like it, but no where near as bad as any two-stroke spewing oil out the exhaust pipe...

I guess I was fighting it thinking what if I flip the sled but you know what if the sled is up side down, Im going to get a new sled anyway..LOL And after this weekend of all 3 of my winders having issues with the rollovers, I am taking your lead and I am over the stock rollovers.

Going to do the same to mine also.A lot of oil in the intake ,plugs are always black for some reason. Are you getting a better colour on your plugs when you remove the hose from the intake. Thanks

Check out how I have mine routed on post 632.
Oil will not run out hose when right side.

I'm with K-Attack on this , just apply the tried and proven "KISS" principle on this engineering oversight.....so much easier.....ride and enjoy

Yeah, I guess you guys don't roll them over that often in the mid-west eh Tom! Out west we do it on purpose, it's actually easier to get them unstuck by rolling them over;-)
