Mach Z not stock king of the lake.

Nice, wondering what it cost to achieve that, compared to a tune in the Winder Yamaha engine with the same amount of Hp
I would guess a $400 - $500 tune verses 2.5 - 3K

At one point I think just the hurricane ECM was $2,800+/-. I saw some BS package for approximately $6,000. Not exactly sure what else is needed.
I've got $2,500 in mine. Bundle, dash flash, muffler & all other components. Should have gone the cheap route. One and done for $1,300+/-.
Quite frankly, and I've stated this b4....
260hp for $1,300
Vs
285hp for $2,500
Not sure the extra $1,200 for 25hp is worth it. Idk....
Maybe it will be when a hopped up Boost wants to play.

I'm sure that GPS speed is accurate. I have a 21 Thundercat and a 22 Renegade X 900r. I haven't tuned the 900 but it will run 122 on the speedo which is about 114 GPS. I have a couple buddies with hurricane tuned Machs and they run 122-123 GPS on good trail conditions. The whole Hurricane set up will run somewhere in the $3,500
Looks like progress is being made at camp 900r. Chris being a vender, I'm not sure of the accuracy of his gps figures.

This is going to be the season of sorting out who has the power adders figured out for the 900R. I've seen stuff as low as $1k from MCX and as high as $5k from Whalen.

There is plenty of banter over on DT about tunes right now. We need snow so these guys can stop arguing.

Hmmmm so for $3,500 you are in the 235hp+/- range?!?! I suppose its not horrible....can't wait to spill off onto a lake and meet up with them. Lol.

Seemingly enough....that's all they do. At least they've got the first year frustrations out of the way. Time to move forward.
I'm sure ill find one or two, Choking down a burger & talking smack.

It's not horrible, but the 998 is still the top dog on the bed or lakes around here... by a long shot.

The sad thing is this..... Naive 998t owners getting lured into a race they can't win. I've personally witnessed it. it brings down my moral. Lol.

Every 998 rider out there has a big target on their back that Doo and Poo riders all want to claim as a victory .
They usually won't race a 998 unless they have, in their minds, some kind of advantage.
Back in the day, owning and riding a 440 SRX, a VMAX4, and then a 700 SRX was the same....I am plenty used to it.:)

I have been riding and modifying sleds since 1970 and even though I love snowmobiling it’s hard to justify spending too much money on them these days.
I live an hour southwest of Buffalo NY in the snow belt and these winters are ridiculous. Two huge storms this year resulted in over 8 feet of snow around Buffalo and now green grass and several days of 50 plus degree weather.

I agree , the winters are short and money in most cases is better spent in others places for some but, its hard to give up that adrenaline rust that only a snowmoblie pounds into us…. Best part is that never gets old and is what keeps us feeling young…
