Mach Z not stock king of the lake.

We have been down this road before with the Mach when all these new Mach Z owners where beating their chest before the sleds even hit the snow
Anyone who is selling Polaris Boost parts and is posting video's is NOT going to post a vid of the Boost loosing. They are in the business to SELL product!!
The bullchit stops when the white stuff drops.
IF the new Boost does beat a 998, then good for them, its about time. Polaris hasn't had a real muscle sled since the XCR triple days.

I wonder what the area under the hp curve looks like when overlaying the boost vs the 998

The XRC triple was no world beater......

Our SWs stock or tuned can and will be beat from time to time if someone wants to spend the money on a Doo or Polaris but I guaranty they will be spending a ton more money and have a LOT less reliability then the 998 offers.
Its crazy we can ride a 200-300 hp trail sled for 1000s of miles with great gas mileage and basically just gas and go!

yes it was
They were nice sleds but about 20 ponies short of our Thundercats. The Tcats were a lot smoother and a lot faster. Like I said they were not world beaters but nice sleds.

Multiple Dynos showed the new BOOST at 192hp-ish
A couple videos show the Stock BOOST against Stock Sidewinder with equal pics & trail set ups
Both show the BOOST getting ahead a few sleds then basically staying same distance ahead for miles

Give or take a few simple things, it will be a close race STOCK
AGAIN I said STOCK

If anyone adds power to this new POO, they are Dancing with the Devil
I don't trust the NA 850 never mind a Boosted 850 & a Hopped Up Boosted 850...............................FuhGettaBoutit
The only video I seen against a sidewinder was in real soft snow and it was a 129". Not really ideal for a sidewinder and does not indicate how they really perform.

I've seen that one too. It was very intentional to race in those conditions!

It's funny how the 850s guys try to lure the 998's into the deep powder for a 300' race.
I've watched the "not so educated" 998's lose a horrible loss.
When we'd spill off onto a long stretch of lake, the 850's didn't want to play so much.

I think the Poo will do OK, stock for stock, but it’s a 2 stroke, so we all know to well, that they are light, quick revving and handle nice because of that, but the 2 stroke has it’s downfall! Burn baby Burn!

Heard from a friend, his working buddy got his and sold his tuned winder! Poo went against a sm tuned winder on the grass.
Poo has the hole and 200’ before getting killed by the winder!
Not happy with his new Poo, now looking for another new Yami!

Problem is around here, Woodys Powersports sold, and new owner Moms, not dabbling with anything non stock, so no more tunes and setups is the word on the street! Guys that used Woodys for tunes will have to find another! They sell both Yami and Poo!

I have experienced this luring and intentionally let it happen and have shocked the 850s in the deep as they have little knowledge of the different SW configs...mine is a XTX 141 with an 1 3/4" Back Country track...lol 850s don't stand a chance.

Listening to that boost idle and smoke just reinforces the opinion that I'm done with two strokes and will never own another.

I am sure cat will join the two smoke turbo fray in a year or two. It will be interesting to see if the 998 will still be around in 2025. I remember when cat replaced the Tcat in 2003 with a 900 twin trying to convince its customers it would run with the Tcat. That did not work out too well once the lakes froze. I suspect the same will be said with two smoke turbos and the 998. Looking forward to seeing a few on Kevlar Lake this winter.
