Barn of Parts Driveshaft Saver....Bearing Lock

Travis mentions in his video , that some are getting the shafts warrantied .
If you did , any advice you can offer , as I have been told it is a wear issue not unwarrantable .
And yes it’s warranty. Just had mine done under warranty.

Thanks jonlafon1 for your reply .
Anyone have names of dealers in Canada that has warrantied the drive shaft and bearings ??
Anyone get the cross shaft warrantied ? It looks like a cheap piece of aluminum .

My dilema is that I have the sled apart. The whole left side and suspension out. I would have to assemble all this as dealer said he doesn't want it in parts. (I understand to a degree). Then dealer pulls the suspension and everything I just had apart and re-assembled. Also pulls the chaincase apart and re-assembles it. Then I will have to pull it apart anyway to install new gear and put the oil I want in it. Meanwhile, my side panels and hood are laying on the floor with a snow shovel on top of it and the shop cat is sitting on my seat lol. I have a used axle with 600 miles which I got for $50 from a fellow TY'er which I just think I'll do myself. Its torn down this far already!! I have till Dec 1 to make up my mind.

The exact reason why I took care of mine myself lol

Mine was warrantied Powersports1 in Wisconsin.
Took the parts to them.
They took pictures and sent to Yamaha. 2 days later said my stuff was on order. Picked up parts and put back together myself .

Worked on a 2017 high country 9000. Shaft also gone. Installed the new track and put it back together for another warranty work. Have another bop order coming.

So Yamaha warrantied the drive axle ?

If your dealer is telling you it's a "wear issue" he's BS-ing you. It is a DESIGN defect and is a warranty claim (if your sled is under warranty). The dealers know about it, have been briefed on it by Yamaha but secretly don't want to tell you that. Many are trying to stick together to put up a front that they don't know about it and haven't ever seen one. Again, that's BS.

Is the bent cross shaft also warrantable ?
