I have the 911 cover from TPI on my SideWinder - very nice piece as you'd expect. I got it late last year, so haven't had a chance to see how much difference it makes. For me its that the belt widths vary when new. Many of us measure them when buying but the plastic sealed bags makes that inaccurate now. I suspect if they haven't already a adjustable Primary cover like 911 will also be coming for Winders. Same thing can really make aggressive weights and clutching smooth at engagement with these especially if you need to load into trailer or such. Saves belts. Wish the belts were all the same.

Just ground my OSP belt removal screw today, smoothed it off nicely. I likely wont even use it for removal since with a yamaha its easy to do without one, by pushing on and rotating. Its the DOOs with compression that the tool works well.
Also, the "plastic washer" on the OSP, is a Very HARD material, so a smoothed off screw wont hurt it at all, and nothing will MARR the helix surface. I designed the first OSP design with float, way back in 2012. Now there are many out there and all work well, but I dont know of any with the hard plastic black spacer that keeps helix pristine.

I didn't realize you designed that for Lonn - NICE work, I love this piece!
Thank you Beerman! Yes, I got the idea to build a beefier one because the OSP one I had started to come loose all the time (others also) because the slot was cut too deep and stretches the aluminum when the screw is tightened. Plus, I don't like taking off my gloves much and work with mechanics gloves....I could not adjust the OSP one unless I used the wrench where I couldn't fine tune it with my hands.
Then talking with a lot of riders, they wanted a belt removal method because of arthritis, loss of an arm (Yes, this guy can ride!) and people that just want to make it easier to change a belt.

The 911 covers have been for sale for the winder almost a year now. They work great and are a must for higher hpr sleds. Adjusting for belt width is amazing when set correctly....both primary and secondary adjusters.
**** If you have a 911 cover that was purchased for a Viper or was bought before 12/1/16....it will fit on a winder clutch, but there is interference when the primary clutch is at full shift. The new primary clutch design has a larger spider which made contact and a design change was needed. All 911 covers sold now are changed to work on all Yamaha primaries from 97 on up to present now.****

We stock their 911 covers in good quantities. It a nicely built product, billet aluminum and beefier than the stocker.

They're all good, and all advertisers on this site. I'll share my opinion again:So which Belt Adjuster is best?
TPI's has knurling (and is beefy) to allow easy adjustments with your glove on even. And knowing NOS-Pro designed it makes it even better ;-)

Yep they are all good and will work.
I tend to like OSP as it wont marr the helix surface.
Each one is darn near same, with small differences...
Just grab the one you feel best about and don't worry about which is best, its a simple item that is most importantly used for dialing in your deflection(and IMO less about changing belts). Changing a belt on a Yamaha really is so easy a tool is not needed.
