My mods for my Sidewinder (Thunder Products, EVO, BOP, Skis...etc...)

Do you think the weights from the big venom kit will be heavy enough for the sidewinder ?

Like Sidewinder just mentioned... no, they will not be heavy enough.

Lonn is sending me weights to do testing with so I should have results soon.

Will not the Heavy hitter base weight 68gr be heavy enough ?

68 will be heavy enough...it's the 48 that will not be heavy enough. I believe 58 will be enough also until more power is added.

I run the HHY 68 with mcx 270 :)

Found a set of C&A skis :)

Evolution Powersports Magnum muffler!!! YES!!! And passes Wi. DNR sound decibel levels!!! Sounds awesome!!!

I was able to fit my Viper Mountain seat on the SW, a little cutting needed, but fits and looks ok. Could use a little off of the top by the gas filler, but I can still use my seat.

Next is the Thunder Products clutch kit I will be helping Lonn out with. Starting with 58 gram aggressive profile weights.

Maptuner X from Evolution Powersports to give me all of the performance stages

Soon will be hand guards, protection plate from BOP, new front bumper from Race Works, 4 wheel kit from JT ATV, colored intake hoses and a new wrap.

My SW doing some catwalking from Jim at Evolution Powersports with Maptuner X and exhaust tunes ;)!

My SW came home last night from Evolution Powersports. All I can say is this thing is Bad-#*$&@!!!

Have the EVP Bullet muffler on it right now and will do decibel readings on it this weekend for those interested. I know the EVP Magnum Muffler passes DNR standards and want to see how much more decibels the Bullet puts out.

On to the next phase

Just wondering what stage MAP you ended up with? I was reading EVP site. So do you just choose 1 stage only without the MAPTUNER X? But if you want multiple maps you need the MAPTUNER X ?

If so, can you switch maps on the fly or do you need to stop and connect MAPTUNER X to change map?

Also, im guessing that muffler wont be trail friendly? So is the 'Magnum' the one you tested passed by DNR?

Thanks
Dan

Dan,
Right now the sled has stage 4 in the ECU. Because of software final testing, I did not get the Maptuner X programmer with my sled as testing is going on with EVP's sled in the mountains. The Maptuner would need to have a splicer in-between the ECU and programmer to stay hooked up.....that would be the only way it would be on the fly. So, you would have to connect the programmer to change the stages.

The Magnum muffler passed DNR testing and is 100% legal to run on trail. The Bullet is a little louder and I will be testing that muffler this weekend with the decibel app to see the difference. I know the Magnum was 87.3 decibels....so I will position my meter at that point where the sled reads 87.3, then put the bullet muffler on and take readings.

I know the bullet won't be legal....but how much more decibels is it? Do I think someone will get away with it on trail? Yes, if they aren't horsing on it around cities and establishments.

You betcha bud!

Hey Rockerdan, you would look good riding a new 2017 Yamaha Sidewinder.
